WHAT IS BASEBALL TIVITZ?

The BASEBALL TIVITZ game is a board game that requires students to use strategy, algebraic reasoning, and computation skills as they move their team of tivots from their dugout to the outfield. The object of the game is to capture score goals in the outfield that will give the highest point score.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS COMPETITION?
HCEMC sponsors competitions for School District of Hillsborough County students in fourth and fifth grade. Teams of 4 students compete individually against students from other schools, and then individual scores are combined for a cumulative school team score.
WHEN IS THE TIVITZ COMPETITION?

The HCEMC is proud to present the 1st round of TIVITZ competition.  The competition is open to all 4th and 5th grade teams in Hillsborough County.  Each school may bring 1 team consisting of 4 students for each grade level. The dates for the first round are as follows:

Thursday, February 24th at Roland Park

8:45 4th Grade

11:00 5th Grade

-OR-

Friday, February 25th at Mango Elem.

8:45 4th Grade

11:00 5th Grade

 The top twelve teams, between both sites, for each grade level will advance to the finals.  Date and location of the finals will be announced.  Registration for this event will be done through email or school mail.  Registration forms including team member names are due by school mail to Joe Ratasky at Foster Elem. (Route 3) or by email to joseph.ratasky@sdhc.k12.fl.us by February 11th.
